Printmaking as an art form combines compositional skills together with process knowledge. I experiment with my compositions using drawing and collage to suggest my image before I start with the process of making the plate. The process part involves deciding on whether I’m creating a monoprint, collagraph, lino or drypoint plate as my starting point. From there on I’m responding to the plate creation - adding, editing even at the point of putting the plate through the press.
